New Hours & Other Safety Measures

Due to current circumstances, we need more time to stock and sanitize. Starting March 18, we’ll reduce hours to 9am-7pm.

Today, we began limiting the number of customers in the store to 10 individuals or groups/families. We have a staff person at the entrance helping to queue shoppers and have measured tape spaced 6-feet apart so that anyone waiting in line can practice social distancing. We’re asking this distancing continue in the store and that everyone use hand sanitizer we’ve placed at the entrance before shopping.

We’re asking anyone with cold/flu-like symptoms to stay home, including shoppers and staff. As you know, we are facing a global pandemic. The co-op wants to keep our staff, shoppers, and community healthy while continuing to serve you. You can read more about the many precautions we’re taking by clicking here.

Thanks for being so supportive and understanding through this rough time. We’ll continue to keep you updated. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions and concerns. You can reach us at or call (503) 325-0027.

  1. I shopped this morning at the Coop and was so impressed at the length you have gone to to protect your customers and employees. Everyone was so very nice, from the people letting people in the store to the checkers and stock clerks; in instructing patrons how to shop this new system. That made me feel so much better because I wasn’t sure what to expect and what was expected of me as a shopper. I appreciated the hand sanitizing station, the gloves in all sizes and the limiting of 10 people at a time into the store to prevent crowding. The new check stands are impressive barriers and I imagine the Coop has spent a great deal of money putting these in place. As I was reaching for a bell pepper, a lady (two cart lengths away from me) seemed to feel I was “invading her 6 foot space.” I apologized and waited because I have become very conscious of peoples’ fear and how they react to all the changes in our lives. It is a time to be compassionate, patient, and to not take anything personally, realizing everyone reacts differently when they are fearful. These times are a good lesson in patience and calmness. The Coop certainly is a good role model. Thank You So Much!

  2. Thanks for all the precautionary footwork. Your safety conscious efforts are unparalleled in any retail setting.
As usual you remain very accessible to customer inqueries with loads of store people on the floor.
