A tried and true recipe that families love by our Co-op board member.
4 peeled and cored apples (any variety, but I used the gala)
1 cup (more or less to taste) of fresh rinsed cranberries
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tsp sugar or honey
dash salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Combine all in a saucepan and simmer covered until apples soften. Mash it all up and serve hot or cold. Makes about 8 servings.
