Meat Clerk

The Astoria Co+op is looking for a new team member for our Meat Department! As a community retail food cooperative, we focus on local and sustainable products in an engaging and upbeat workplace. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn best butchery practices from an experienced butcher: making in-house sausages, filleting fish, dry aging, and more. We pride ourselves on providing an inclusive and team-oriented workplace.

The ideal candidate will:

Have meat and seafood cutting experience, although not a requirement
Meet proper sanitation expectations and follow guidelines on rotation of product
Provide excellent customer service
