Astoria Co+op’s Change for Community round up program raised over $5,000 for the Clatsop Community Action Regional Food Bank, including $1,000 that the co-op donated in matching funds. Through November, shoppers can buy a $15 basket of heavily discounted pantry staples that will be delivered directly to the food bank. The current round-up now benefits Co-op Care — a new program that provides store credits to co-op members in need and gift cards distributed through local food banks and partner organizations, helping community members access healthy food with dignity and choice.
